Four eminent world-wide specialists will be present this year for a special edition of the IBM POWER TOUR 2012, to share their experience and the latest technology updates on hot topics such as Virtualization, High Availability and Converged Infrastructure on IBM Systems. In addition, a live demo will be organized to present the capabilities of the revolutionary IBM PureSystems.

We are pleased to announce that BARBARA KOCH, Vice-President of System and Technology Group for IBM Europe, will open this session with a keynote speech about Power Systems and its related strategy. She will also cover the latest Power Announcements as well as the Roadmap for 2013.

CESAR MACIEL is an Executive IT Specialist working for IBM USA. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from UFMG, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He joined IBM in 1996 and has worked on pre-sales technical support for AIX and Power Systems servers. His areas of expertise include AIX, Linux on Power Systems, High Availability, IT Simplification and Virtualization. He is the author of many technical documents and Redbooks and is a member of the IBM Certification Board for IT Specialists.

GOTTRIED SCHIMUNEK is a Senior IT Architect with IBM and has taken a lead role in application and product development projects for over 25 years. Currently he is the Program Manager and Technical Consultant for IBM i on IBM Power Systems in the ISV Enablement team in Rochester, Minnesota. His primary interests are performance measurement analysis and capacity planning of applications. Gottfried is a frequent presenter at customer, user groups and technical conferences around the world.

ANTOINE MASSIEYE & PIERRE PERDAEMS are two experienced architects based in Geneva. Their current focus is on PureSystems and Cloud. Pierre also holds a European role with specific involvement with Managed Service Providers. Antoine and Pierre will use the local PureSystems Demo Center to demonstrate the operational efficiency and values of this integrated platform.
